Blackberry Storm 9530 Extended Battery Review
written and submitted by Jay
The innocell extended battery gives you up to 90 percent more capacity than the normal battery for the Storm (2600mah ). Even with heavy texting (twittering) and data usage the battery will keep the blackberry charged and ready to go according to the website ( www.seidioonline.com )
My Impressions of the Battery
When I received the battery it was pre-charged to 50 percent. I received it late in the afternoon and I decided to just put it in the storm and go to work. If I needed to charge while at work I would just do it. I was really shocked I worked close to 10 hours and when I got home I was down to 25 percent (very good for a battery that had not received a full first charge yet.) I let it charge for 8 hours the next day before doing a real test on how long it would last. I have used this Storm heavy everyday and the battery would last 2.5 days before being at the 10 percent point.
This extended battery for the Storm comes with a Battery Cover. The cover has a slight rubber feel to it which is nice because it helps the device to not slip out of your hand. The size of the battery makes the cover extend out an extra 3mm (not bad for getting an extra 90 percent of power over the original battery.) The extra height of the battery keeps the camera area off the table. This is good because if you put the blackberry on the table the glass that covers the camera will get slight scratches and smudges on it.
I would give the battery a 4 out of 5 rating. I like the size and I enjoy the extra time I get from the battery the only thing I would like to have is a 3200mah battery instead of the 2600mah.
This Blackberry Storm 9530 Extended Battery is available at www.seidioonline.com for $59.99

Does the extended battery still fit in the holster i have now? If it does not fit in the present holster is there a holster made for the extended battery? What are my alternatives?

Very helpful review. The pix made it even more helpful.
Re Mr. Christiensen’s response, I am told the Storm with an extended lif battery will NOT fit into the Blackberry holster typically obtained from Verizon.
Although there are several holsters available which will accept the Storm 9530 with an Extended Life Battery, the only one I liked may be found at http://shop.crackberry.com/smartphone-experts-extended-fit-side-case/4A145A5457.htm This is NOT an endorsement of the Smartphone Expert’s holster, although I do plan to purchase one.
