I have always been a Socialscope Fan, the day I received my invite I was absolutely elated!  The fact that there was a twitter client that allowed the user to post both to Facebook and Twitter was simply joyous.  However, I found that as RIM updated it’s Facebook Client I began to prefer it over using the Socialscope Facebook feature, that didn’t matter I still preferred Socialscope for its looks and features over all other twitter clients available for the Blackberry.  I am being absolutely fair because every twitter client that comes out for the Blackberry I try it just to see how it compares to Socialscope.  When Twitter added Lists as an feature I found that I enjoyed using Lists but was sad that Socialscope didn’t support this feature, I’m sure it probably will in the near future but at the time of the writing of this article it does not.  I also found that I was becoming more interested in Trending Topics on Twitter as well.

A Beta version of Ubertwitter was leaked and by the time I actually received a working link for the leaked version Ubertwitter was providing a download link.  I installed the leaked version and used it for a few hours and went back to Socialscope.  I didn’t even consider the additional features that were now available, by the way I did like the new Icon they are using, the new appearance was also more appealing to my eyes.  It wasn’t until I saw a tweet from one of my followers mentioning how much they loved Ubertwitter and how much they liked the new features.  So I sent out a tweet  asking if Ubertwitter supported lists and someone responded with a yes.

I immediately downloaded Ubertwitter and I haven’t looked back at Socialscope, I actually deleted Socialscope from my Blackberry.   When I add a new follower I am able to immediately add them to a list.  I love being able to track trending topics and do everything I need to do on Twitter from one application on my Blackberry Bold.  Ubertwitter has successfully stolen my heart from Socialscope!   Thank you Ubertwitter for such an awesome application and I know it will only get better and better!  I’ve also noticed a drastic cutback in memory lost due to memory leaks, I noticed this the next day after running Ubertwitter instead of Socialscope.  I had become accustomed to restarting my Blackberry 3-4 times a day because of very low memory.  Yesterday I did my daily morning restart and that’s it, the only difference from now and before is that I’m no longer running Socialscope, which makes me think there was a connection with the application and my drastic memory leaks.

Here are a few screenshots of Ubertwitter Beta running on my Blackberry Bold 9000.
