Today I want to talk about my two favorite apps.
The first app is Blackberry Messenger (BBM)! When someone buys a blackberry, BBM is one of the main apps that will get you addicted to the blackberry. Blackberry Messenger is not just another IM Client like Yahoo or AIM. It is beyond that. It’s like Nextel’s push to talk but messaging.
I love BBM because you can chat with anyone that has a blackberry anywhere in the world. If I am having an important conversation face to face with a customer and they has a blackberry, I always give them my BBM PIN instead of my actual phone number in case they have any questions.
I’m Brazilian, so I stay in touch with one of my uncles and 3 of my cousins all through BBM every week instead of paying for the long distance call. Two of my favorite sports are Futbol and Formula One Racing. I love chatting with other enthusiasts of the sport from all over the world! I’ll never forget last year’s season. I was watching the F1 Grand Prix of Britain, and there were 7 of us chatting and one of them was at the track watching the race live! I thought that it was really amazing because whenever all of us had to sit through commercials, he was there to let us know what we were missing. A blackberry is not complete if you don’t have BBM.
My second favorite app is Google Mobile. It has a lot of the apps that I need all in one. Gmail, Google Maps, News, RSS Reader, Docs, Sync, etc. all in one big application. This saves me a whole lot of memory.
Two days ago there was a really bad lightning storm. I used the news section to keep up with the news and the weather warnings. I used the search function to find the nearest hotel. Once I found a Holiday Inn listing, I put the directions in Google Maps, and I reached my destination safely. I’ve always liked Google Mobile, now I love it because it helped me in a huge emergency.
