My name is Sarah, I’m no social butterfly but if you put a Gadget near me I’m sure to become a gadget butterfly; Soaring freely into my world of gadgets, new technology and discovery. When I read about the release of the GenTouch78 Android Tablet I was very excited. I’m the proud of owner of the GT Android Tablet and I’m pleased to share these new experiences with everyone!
I am no longer excited but proud to be in the ranks of those trying out this new tablet. My excitement lasted long enough for me to open the box and try out my new gadget. The excitement ended and my disappointment began. I have noted below my list of concerns with my new Gadget. Today I will share with you the box opening pictures of my GT Android Tablet. I have also listed below the GT’s specifications. The GT is sold at Kmart for the low retail price of $169.99. You know what they say, you get what you pay for!
Concerns:
- Android Market doesn’t work
- Factory Reset doesn’t work
- No Calibration Settings
- Screen isn’t very responsive
- Speaker sound is poor and sometimes doesn’t work
- Screen doesn’t auto rotate & there’s no setting
- Audio Jack 2.5mm
- There’s more but that’s all I can think of right now…
In my next article I will address each concern and let you know what has been resolved & hopefully how.

Thanks. I had a raincheck. I heard Kmart might not restock. Many issues. Let me know if you get one. Most stores only had a few.

Gabe don’t do it! You saw Sarahs list of concerns? Well Sarah is one of my Starbucks buddies, she brought her GT to my house because she was having serious issues. I was able to help her connect to my wi-fi here at home and showed her how to reply to your post. Typing on that GT is horrible no Calibration so it took us 15 minutes to post her reply to you. All I can say is I don’t recommend the GT to anyone. It was released too early and has many issues. Wait at least until they release the promised updates next Wednesday and see what happens. Just check the forums they will keep you updated.
