Living the Android Life – Voice Search/Voice Commands

My EVO Journey continues with new updates.  Since the Froyo update Google has given Android users many new features.

One of my favorite of the new updates is the Voice Search or Voice Command features.  I can now text, email or make notes by speaking to my phone.

This weekend I have been sending emails and texts using this feature and I think I’ve got the hang of it.  When I use the email feature I discovered a problem.  You can’t tell it place a period, comma or an explanation point.  In other words no punctuation commands.  You do have to speak slower than normal or app will began to mess up a lot of the words. To utilize these new features you have to update the Voice Search App and the Google Search Widget.  You can download the updates in the android market.

Below are some random snapshots of Voice Command Screens.
