Travelling can be very fun or difficult. Eating on the go can play havoc with any travel plans. Here are a few things I do while I’m away from home to help beat the battle with my waistline.
One of the things I love to do is to bring a few healthy snacks with me in my luggage. I like to bring Nutri-Grain bars, dried fruit, Weight Watchers snack cakes, and 100 calorie salted snacks. They’re easy to store and it definitely saves a lot of money. It is so easy to indulge while you’re on vacation. Bringing these snacks with me helps remind me of my weight loss goal. They help keep me on track.
Another thing I do is to monitor my dining out. I’m sure you’re wondering how do you do that. I try to stick with some of foods I normally eat in my diet. For breakfast I have yogurt and fruit. When I do dine out I make sure I bring a doggie bag home. I also like to make salads my entree and I steer clear of the bread and butter. I avoid eating large meals. I try to eat lighter foods.
I do treat myself while I’m away but I am very careful about it. I make sure I’ve done some extra working out and eat stricter to help offset the additional calorie intake.
I’ve gone on vacation and actually lost a couple of pounds. Make sure you keep extra hydrated while on vacation. Drink plenty of water. The water replenishes you and helps to fill your stomach. You tend to be less hungry and feel a lot healthier if you are properly hydrated. I like to drink at least 12 glasses a day.
Have fun on your vacation but you can also be healthy. Use your vacation to kick up your weight loss with extra activity and eating right.
Trying this tip will help you win the weight loss battle!
