I know that sounds a little crazy but working out and eating healthy can actually be fun. I have found ways to make it fun for me. One way is rewarding myself with a treat for every five pounds I lose. This time it’s going to be a new pair of shoes.
When I think about not eating right I say to myself that I’m delaying my new shoes. When I work out I listen to music I like. I also do things I enjoy. I like to salsa dance so I found a fun workout DVD. I enjoy walking and I have tons of walk aerobic workout DVDs. When I use my elliptical I play fun music or watch a favorite show on TV. It makes working out feel less like a chore.
When it comes to eating I find things I like to eat. There are lots of healthy things that are delicious too. I love pasta and I find wheat and whole grain pasta to be quite delicious. It’s also healthier than regular pasta. Find healthier versions of foods you love. It will make it more fun to eat healthy.
