Earnestly Speaking: The Blackberry Nervous Tick

Very recently, I went out to dinner with a close friend of mine.  Of course, she is a fellow Blackberry User.  Allow me to say right now that the experience was not only quite annoying but enlightening.

The drive to the restaurant was fun, we chatted laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely.  Once we arrived at the restaurant were seated, let’s just say the atmosphere certainly changed for the worst.  We ordered our drinks and meals and we began to chat - well, I don’t know if we were chatting.  I was running my mouth but I didn’t seem to have a willing audience.  More >

Earnestly Speaking: Blackberry Love Runs Deep…

This past weekend I went on a date with a nice fellow.  He actually owns a iPhone and of course iPhone owners are usually as addicted to their device as Blackberry owners.  It’s amazing that we both had our smart phones on the table right next to our meals and drinks.

Truthfully this guy and I got along quite well.  I enjoyed his conversation, he was intelligent, fun, witty and nice to look at, that’s always a plus!  The only problem we seemed to have is that we were both paying as much or more attention to our smart phones as More >
