“…all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14
“It’s been a long time coming but I know my change’s gonna come.” Sam Cooke
Most folks who know me and speak to me on a regular basis will soon find that I am a proponent of change. Even before Obama ran for president, my platform was change! Because I have lived through it, I can say that ultimately, CHANGE IS GOOD. It’s scary, but good. I’ve seen its devastating effects but I’ve also watched as new life sprang from the ashes. I listened in on a seminar once More >

Welcome to the first installment of Living the Hero Life; a weekly column focusing on the Sprint HTC Hero Android phone, and touching on the Android community at large.
I thought a perfect topic to kick things off was one that is a question for a lot of Hero owners. Should I use a Task Killer? Let’s pursue this further…
First of all let’s define, “Task Killer”. A Task Killer is a utility app (application) designed to give the user control over the running and “killing” (closing) of apps on the phone.
The reason for the debate is this: It has not been proven More >

Open Home is a home replacement app for Android. It allows users to customize all aspects of their Home screen including font/color, icons and customized themes. Many themes are available for download in the Android market.
I am currently running Open Home Full on my Moto Blur and wanted to share a few screen shots of some the Themes and Skins I prefer, thus far. The Shortcut text on my Home Screen is part a font pack I downloaded for Open Home and the fact that my Shortcuts text have no background is also something you can manipulate with Open Home. More >

I think Lady Gaga says it so well with her song Eh, Eh lyrics. I’ve fallen in love with another, I wish it had never looked at me that way.
I’m not speaking of a man but I had to break my Blackberry Bold 9000 heart. The Android phone looked at me that way and there is nothing else I can say but eh, eh. Things happen, life is full of hurts and disappointments, change is usually always for the good. So I took my Blackberry Bold sat it down in it’s Orange Bean Bag Chair and played Lady Gaga’s song More >

nev⋅er⋅the⋅less [nev-er-th uh-les] adverb: nonetheless; notwithstanding; however; in spite of that:
The bondwoman and the freewoman: Hagar and Sarah. As the story goes – God promised Abraham a son of his own. Sarah, being an old woman, reasoned that she could not give birth at such an advanced age and so gave her handmaiden, Hagar, to be a surrogate. Being a servant, Hagar really didn’t have any say in the matter, so she laid with Abraham and gave him a son – Ishmael. But afterwards, God revealed to Abraham that More >

Very recently, I went out to dinner with a close friend of mine. Of course, she is a fellow Blackberry User. Allow me to say right now that the experience was not only quite annoying but enlightening.
The drive to the restaurant was fun, we chatted laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Once we arrived at the restaurant were seated, let’s just say the atmosphere certainly changed for the worst. We ordered our drinks and meals and we began to chat - well, I don’t know if we were chatting. I was running my mouth but I didn’t seem to have a willing audience. More >

I’ve owned my MyTouch3G for a little while now and I’m enjoying it. I successfully traded my White 8520 for a White MyTouch3G, my goal was a White G1. I have so much information to share with my readers about the Android OS and device itself.
I will start by sharing a few pictures of my White MyTouch3G. I will be posting quite regularly with thoughts, information and so much more about the Android.
Switched Back to Mytouch3g and Sold the Moto Blur
Pictures of my previously owned White Motorola Cliq which I prefer to call Moto Blur. It’s faster and smoother than the MyTouch3G More >

In the short time I’ve used the Android Operating System, I’ve become quite familiar with the “Market”. It is full of fun and wonderful applications that help to personalize and increase how friendly your Android device becomes. I have downloaded and deleted many applications. I have listed a couple of my favorite homepage widgets below with screen shots. The name of the applications are above the screen shots; just go to the market and type the name into search.

“… but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6
We’ve all had our own personal tsunami or Hurricane Katrina tear through our lives, wreaking havoc and destruction. Our own tragedies may seem relatively insignificant but for us, it seems our world has come to an end. David once faced such a dilemma. He led his men into battle one day and left his camp defenseless. With the men occupied elsewhere, an enemy came and destroyed the camp, taking all the women and children. When David and his men returned, they saw their nightmare – living quarters in ruins and More >
